Saboten Con Wrap Up + Con-Nichiwa + Future Cosplays

So Saboten con was fun.
I went all three days. The first two days I cosplayed as Matsumoto Rangiku. On friday I was there for a little bit, then I went and picked up my best friend and niece ~bluefire23 and we both went on friday. We saw the opening ceremony and right after that was the Steve and Vic show. I taped most of it and I need to put it in a video. I will update my journal with a link to the video on my youtube.

The coolest thing about friday was the Steve and Vic show. My niece went up to ask a pretty simple question, but she started off by saying how awesome of a job Steve did on Vincent Valentine (which is one of her favorite characters of all time). The awesome thing was when Steve replied "Thank you" in Vincents voice. It was the coolest thing. Unfortunately, we didn't get to see any of their panels or anything. We didn't even get to meet Vic or Steve and we were sad but we figured we'll get to meet them sometime.

On saturday Amanda (my best friend) cosplayed as Hinamori Momo. It was a great experience for her. We had a really fun time at the Bleach gathering too.


There was one thing that I had trouble with. My wig. It was the first time I had ever worn a wig for a long period of time. It was slightly frustrating. Rangiku's wig is so long because she has really long hair. I even had to buy a second one because the first one (the one you can see in the photoshoot I did with Rachel) was even longer and hard to deal with. So I bought a different one that was smaller and it was easier to work with but still a hassle.



Ok moving on.

I found out there is going to be another anime convention, this time here in Tucson (where I live). I definitely plan on going. I didn't get to go to AnimeLan TuCon so this time I have to go.

Only this time, I don't think I'll be cosplaying as Rangiku.

I remember how I also wanted to cosplay as Temari from Naruto, but I don't want to anymore. After my experience with Rangiku, I decided that I don't want to do anything complicated again. And Temari's outfit is definitely complicated.

I also thought about doing Kyoko Kirisaki from Black Cat, but I have a feeling that not a lot of people would know who I was. So I don't think I'm going to do her.

So I have two other cosplays in mind.

I also thought about doing Radical Edward from Cowboy Bebop, but I decided agaisnt it.
